We’re excited to share that Robin Chan has been promoted to Vice President at Conductive Ventures.
Since joining the team in 2023, Robin has brought a rare blend of curiosity, analytical rigor, and collaborative energy. His experience spans early-stage investing, investment banking and corporate development in media and technology companies — all of which inform his unique perspective on what it takes to back and build transformative companies.
Robin’s career began in journalism, where he covered economics and business. That early exposure to industry change sparked an interest in technology and innovation, which ultimately led him to venture capital investing. He went on first to investment banking at Goldman Sachs, before holding executive roles at Business Insider and Yahoo, and continued developing an eye for evaluating new markets and technologies as an early stage investor at Meta.
At Conductive Ventures, Robin has quickly become a trusted thought partner to both our team and our founders. He’s supported investments in companies such as Empowerly, HopSkip, 1v1Me and Cloverleaf — bringing a hands-on, founder-first approach to everything from due diligence to company building. He can see the big picture and go deep into the weeds, and has a real strength in helping founders pressure-test their vision with data-driven analysis. Robin is the kind of investor who asks the right questions, listens closely, and earns the trust of those around him.
With a natural curiosity and a willingness to explore new ideas, Robin has also helped shape projects like our content strategy and the launch of our podcast Conductive Conversations. It’s one of the ways he’s helped expand how we share our mission and the people behind it.
Robin’s career path — from journalism to big tech to venture — has given him a unique lens on what drives innovation. He combines deep analytical thinking with a real care for founders, and his ability to operate across disciplines has made him indispensable to our team. Robin’s promotion to Vice President reflects the value he’s already brought to Conductive Ventures and our confidence in the leader he’s becoming.

As we continue to grow Conductive Ventures, Robin’s promotion strengthens our ability to serve founders with thoughtfulness and rigor. With $450M under management, we remain focused on backing capital-efficient businesses in software, hardware, and technology-enabled services — and investing in our team is just as critical to that mission as investing in companies.
Please join us in congratulating Robin on this well-deserved promotion to Vice President.
